About the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and Fund Matching

“Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and Funds Matching” is an important event in the annual meeting of China Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology. At present, technological innovation leads the development of society, technological change drives the economy forward, and innovation and entrepreneurship activities are in full swing. As the largest Chinese comprehensive science and technology society in North America, China Travel Science and Technology Association has gathered a large number of outstanding Chinese technology elites, who have made indelible contributions in the world’s scientific and technological exploration and technological development. In the past few sessions, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition of the annual meeting of the Association of American Associations for Science and Technology has achieved good results in terms of technological innovation and project funding docking. There are more than 30 chapters and liaison offices between China and the United States, with a wide range of personnel, wide professional coverage and wide geographical coverage. The contest fully utilizes the talent advantage and provides a high-quality and comprehensive platform for learning, communication and development for the Sino-US entrepreneurship project through the docking with funds, creating a good environment for technological innovation and entrepreneurship, and promoting the organic integration of Chinese and American technologies, talents, capital and markets. This competition will still be the highlight of the annual meeting of the Association. We will create a strong entrepreneurial environment for innovative companies by inviting professional training, inviting professional venture capitalists to comment on project roadshows, arranging one-on-one talks between investors and entrepreneurs, and diversifying online media. Contest Highlights

• This competition will bring together projects from more than a dozen regions of the United States and several cities in China;

• The competition will be conducted in three rounds: the first round will be the standard selection to ensure that the project meets the basic requirements; the second round will be reviewed online by experts through the online scoring system; the third round will be the finals of the experts’ review in the US-US Association for Science and Technology. On-site roadshows will be held at the annual meeting, and the first, second and third prizes will be awarded on the spot to award bonuses and certificates;

• Online judging and on-site judging will be judged by senior professionals and investors, and excellent projects will be given opportunities for entrepreneurial tutors;

• The winning project will directly fund the docking.

Entrepreneurship Project Declaration

• The first stage: the collection of the project began on August 1, 2018~ August 31, 2018: Submit the application form. The organizing committee of the competition will contact the team in accordance with the registration and organize important pre-match training. Submit a specific business plan.

• The second stage: September 1st to September 15th, 2018: preliminary evaluation.

• The third stage: September 16th to September 30th, 2018: The outstanding projects that participated in the finals will participate in the finals of the annual meeting of the General Conference.

• During the annual meeting of the American Association for Science and Technology on October 14, 2018, the outstanding project road show will be awarded the first, second and third prizes, providing cash rewards and fund docking services. The first project person of all outstanding projects received free VIP tickets for the annual meeting of the Association of American Associations for Science and Technology.

Participation Requirements

• Participants are overseas innovative entrepreneurs, teams or companies. A forward-looking and innovative technology-based SME project with a market-leading technology or production service startup team and research team. There are mature entrepreneurial projects and business plans, leading technical achievements, good market prospects and industrialization. All entry requirements are start-up projects; the core members of the entry must have legal intellectual property rights or use rights (authorization) for the projects they participate in;

• Entrepreneurship team: Startups in the US or in their infancy, have prototypes, and the turnover in the most recent year must not exceed 50 .
